Slackware

This section is about how I use Slackware. I also use Windows a lot, and you can find that here. I mainly use Slackware on servers, but it also works great as a desktop operating system.

Installing Slackware

This is a quick outline of the process I typically use to install Slackware Linux manually on hardware. This process can be streamlined with custom tagfiles. Theese instructions should work for both Slackware 15.0 and the -current development branch. Please note these insructions were valid with -current when they were written, but since the -current branch is changing, these instructions may not be enitrely up to date.

Building Incus on Slackware

Slackware doesn’t have Incus packages. There are packages available on SlackBuilds.org, but I like to build things myself. One day, I might look into what it takes to turn this process into a SlackBuilds package.

This is the process I use, in this order, to build components for an Incus cluster on Slackware with support for LVM, ZFS, and LINSTOR / DRBD.
